Redevelopment of the parish area of Magreta

Formigine (MO)

The historical centre of the town, whose origins are probably from the ninth century, has over time lost its identity of a castle- village. The project intends to add value to the remaining traces of these noble origins, mainly through a “hierarchy of use of public space” of the old town from the properties of the parish church (dating from the Middle Ages), of the canonical and the oratory, which characterize the history of Magreta.
This centre is requalified in the “relational spaces” through a general design of flooring, public parks and furniture. We designed controlled pedestrian perspective views – from one side residential areas and to the other side commercial areas, where we have placed three new buildings. At the same time we have redefined the Urban Traffic Plan.
