River park restoration

CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE URBAN AND LANDSCAPE REGENERATION OF THE RESIDENTIAL AREA C2/30 AND RIVER PARK IN CAPOSILE.

The intervention area has a negative aspect given by the presence of Provincial Road 43, which crosses the village reducing it to a transit zone.

As opposed to this aspect, the river environment maintains intact the naturalistic characteristics, which the project intends to re-evaluate.
The design choice is therefore based on these contrasts, closing of the elevations towards on the street side, and opening up towards on the river, respecting a south (River) – north (road) orientation, which involves the use of defined formal languages and distributive and architectural functions resulting in the buildings.

The project provide paths that cross the intervention area in a longitudinal direction, which intend to reconnect the environmental system on the river, with the back of the country and transversal, uniting the new buildings to the pre-existing ones.

The recovery and construction of the River Park, which returns the area to the enjoyment of citizens, is fundamental to rediscovering its origins and spreading its values to future visitors.
