Expansion of offices of Guzzini headquarters

This is a complex project that stems from the company’s need to create new offices, meeting rooms, entrance hall and at the same time to rebuild the facades of the existing building, to give a new and representative image of the company. This project combines the needs born with time with a more up-to-date corporate image. The planned expansion is simple, a pure volume, on one floor, which seems almost suspended. Two horizontal lines that generate an external walkway in the lower part of the building, understood as an architectural walk, while in the upper part there is a veiled shadow that fades on the back of the glass facades. A slight movement of soil burns the entire extension on the ground, blending architecture into the natural landscape of hills and trees, speaking with a softer language and closer to the context. The facades are clad with press-folded perforated sheet metal elements, painted with different colour palettes to create a more harmonious effect with the natural landscape.
